Willits - Kevin Erich, president of Howard Memorial
Hospital, today announced that Home Care and Hospice
Services-Mendocino County was named to the 2006 HomeCARE Elite. This
ground-breaking review names the Medicare-certified agencies whose
performance measures in quality, improvement and financial
performance are among the top 25% of the providers nationwide. Its
an honor to be named to this elite status, stated Erich. It shows
that Howard Memorial Hospitals Home Care and Hospice is dedicated
to quality and performance for better patient care.
Outcome Concepts Systems, Inc. (OCS) determined the top home
health agencies nation-wide through benchmarking based on quality
measurement scores. OCS maintains the nations largest proprietary
home care, hospice and private duty benchmark database. The data
used to name the elite agencies was collected from July 2005 to June
2006.
Home Care and Hospice Services of Mendocino County is honored to
have been recognized for setting quality health care standards, not
only for the northern region of the United States, but for the whole
country commented Nancy Runyan, administrative director for the
department. We can be proud to know that those who need home care
services are in good hands here in Mendocino Country

Home Care and Hospice Services-Mendocino County is a department
of Frank R. Howard Memorial Hospital, which is owned by the Howard
Foundation, and operated by Adventist Health. The Hospitals Home
Care and Hospice Service has been serving the community since1993,
and made over 16, 000 patient visits alone in 2006.
